I don't think I've explained this right. It works fine, except it requires an "ok" from the smartscreen to proceed with the unblock, which is the whole purpose. Extra step to do. Acknowledging it's blocked which you already know because that's why you're doing it.

It's ok.... only reason I bring any of this up at all is the Unblock context menu entry I was using from "somewhere else", did not ask for the smartscreen. Same Powershell type approach. I'd rather use this one, though.

Mystery solved! I was running it against the '.reg files downloaded from this tut. They do not have a valid, or any, signature. That was the SmartScreen warning. I downloaded a regular installer of one of my apps, and it ran fine on it with no SmartScreen pop-up. It was the sig, not the file per se.

Brink, is there a way to hide the PS window that pops up, when executing Unblock?

    Hello,

I'm not aware of a way to completely hide it from showing while it runs the PowerShell command to unblock.

    Good evening @Brink

Question about unblocking multiple files using the Unblock context menu option .....say I want to unblock multiple registry files I downloaded using the functions added in this tutorial. I get prompts about security warnings when opening for every file selected. This issue persists when I uncheck the option to remember the settings. How do I get around this behavior to globally accept all registry files in security?

    Does this make sense?

    Thanks!
