I want to just leave my tabs open, would doing this allow me to close Edge and leave the tabs open or does it just remove the pop-up that asks to close all tabs?

Hello Bazzer, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Just to verify, are using the old Microsoft Edge or the new Chromium based Microsoft Edge? This tutorial will not apply to the new one.

Turning this off will only remove the notification, and allows you to close Microsoft Edge even though you have more than one tab open.

If you want Microsoft Edge to start with the previous tabs still open, then you will need to also use step 6 in the tutorial below to set the "Start page" to be "Previous pages".

    Hi Brink,
Just to clarify, the closing multiple tabs warning is no longer an option in the new Chromium version.
Curious thing there is a flag in the experiments that I tried but it has no effect on the tabs. It also says the setting is still on the Settings > Appearance options but it's not there

    Thank you.

    Hello Richard,

You could use the option below instead for Microsoft Edge Chromium.

None of the fixes in post #1 work and I am surprised that Microsoft didn't include this in settings and turn it on by default. I lost some important work yesterday because of that which tempts me to ignore Edge as a browser & stick with Firefox.
@Brink the link above is dead.

    Hello Peter,

This tutorial was for the old non Chromium Edge.

You should be able to use the tutorial below for the Microsoft Edge instead for this.
