Together with "move to oneDrive", the entire oneDrive section disappeared

    After:

Reverting the change by hand or with the "reverse" .reg fixes the issue, but the "move to onedrive" entry pops back too

Thank you @Artemis. I have added a warning at the top of the tutorial for this for now until I'm able to come up with a better solution to only remove "Move to OneDrive".

    Thank you!
just wanted to say I love your work on these articles about personalizing windows' context menu! I've been using them for years now, and they're all so organized and well built, they're the first thing I look up for when I have to setup a new windows installation

Is there a way to modify that registry entry to specify Dropbox rather than OneDrive?

    Hello MrDeb,

Not that I'm aware of since this is a built-in feature of OneDrive.

However, as a workaround, you could create a shortcut of your Dropbox folder and move it into the SendTo folder like below. This way you could send to Dropbox via the Send To context menu.

Thanks for the help. I use Dropbox on two machines. They are both Win10 PCs, On one, the context menu has "Move to Dropbox", the other does not. Both have latest version of DB. Can not figure out why one does and the other does not have this context menu entry. I was hoping that your method would provide a solution to adding it.

As a test, see if running the command below re-register the Dropbox context menu may restore it.

    regsvr32 “%AppData%\Dropbox\bin\DropboxExt.22.dll”

    (regsvr32 “C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Dropbox\bin\DropboxExt.22.dll”)

If this does not work, you may need to repair or reinstall the Dropbox software.

The path to DropboxExt.22.dll does not exist on my system. The only related Dll's are: C:\Users\jeff\Dropbox\Desktop>regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Client\DropboxExt.36.0.dll"
    -or-
    C:\Users\jeff\Dropbox\Desktop>regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox\Client\DropboxExt64.36.0.dll".

I tried both commands from an administrator's CMD prompt. Regrettably, did not work. (I had already tried removing and reinstalling the software, and posting on the DB help forum.)
Your help is really appreciated. Thanks for trying.

I don't use DropBox to be familiar with its settings, but you might check to see if there may be a program setting to add or remove the context menu if you haven't already.
