How to Adjust Mixed Reality Visual Quality for Headset Display in Windows 10

Mixed reality blends real-world and virtual content into hybrid environments where physical and digital objects coexist and interact.

If the level of detail and quality of effects in your mixed reality home don’t look their best, you could try adjusting your headset's visual settings to ensure a comfortable mixed reality experience.

When Visual quality is set to Let Windows decide (automatic), it'll choose the best mixed reality experience for your PC. For an experience with more visual detail, set Visual quality to High. If your visuals are choppy, you may want to select a lower setting.

This tutorial will show you how to adjust the visual level of detail and quality of effects in the mixed reality home for the headset display on your Windows 10 PC.

You must be signed in as an administrator to adjust the visual quality of mixed reality on this PC.

Windows Mixed Reality is deprecated and will be removed in a future release of Windows. This deprecation includes the Mixed Reality Portal app, and Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR and Steam VR Beta.
