To 1909 boot menu I added an entry that boots the 1903 vhdx.
I want also an entry to boot the XUbuntu vhdx. Any guidance appreciated.
Only Windows virtual hard disks can be added to boot menu and booted to. You cannot boot to Linux virtual hard disk.

    Virtual Switch

    hi Kari,

do you recommend to create a virtual Switch for a Linux vm in Hyper-V?

I think my Ubuntu vm got created using the Default Switch by default, which didn't allow me to access resources within the LAN, like my NAS.

Using an external virtual Switch did the trick.

    Greetings,

The default switch puts VM behind NAT, making networking with local network, if not impossible, quite difficult. It is better to create your own external switch.
