What is that screen? I have never seen it - I would like to check my version?
That is WAC (Windows Admin Center), a free tool from Microsoft. I've made a tutorial about it:
Windows Admin Center - Centrally manage all your Windows 10 PCs | Windows 10 Tutorials

Try it, if you have any issues post in tutorial thread. I can also show the basics in Teams.

Delete vm and restart. When it asks for login credentials - use all lower case - I just use a single letter e.g. c for cereberus, and say p for password.

You can make more secure later.

It should boot into it with no problem then.

    username : n
    password : p

    it works !!!

    big thanks cereberus

Obviously, not the most secure password - the real point is lowercase seems to be the solution. Others on the original development forum found the same. I think it is an xrdp issue rather than ubuntu specifically.

@Kari, How could I doubt you - here is Linux running with 2GB assigned.

I have unbuntu open with only one app running (Libre Office Writer) as below.

Here is the memory demand - 5GB - Hell my Windows 10 VMS run comfortably in 4GB!

    No wonder it is sluggish

I also tested it on my original version before the quick create VM (cool by the way), and it gave virtually the same result.

So who are all these fibbing Linuxians who keep telling us that it uses less resources than Windows? .

    @Kari
I followed the tutorial but when download is complete, I receive the following error message: "An exception occurred during a WebClient request."
How could I solve the problem?

Physical context is one internal SSD, multiple partitions.
    UEFI booting.

    I made a Win10 1903 vhdx that I can run in 1909 Hyper-V Manager.
I made an XUbuntu vhdx that I can run in 1909 Hyper-V Manager.

To 1909 boot menu I added an entry that boots the 1903 vhdx.
I want also an entry to boot the XUbuntu vhdx. Any guidance appreciated.
