The experimental flag used in this tutorial is no longer available in Google Chrome.
In Google Chrome, you can enable or disable a flag for an experimental feature to mute a previous tab playing audio whenever you open another tab and play audio.
This tutorial will show you how to enable or disable manage audio focus across tabs to mute a previous tab playing audio whenever you open another tab and play audio in Google Chrome for your account in Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10.
Here's How:
1 Open Google Chrome.
2 Copy and paste the link below into the address bar of Chrome, and press Enter.
chrome://flags/#enable-audio-focus-enforcement
3 Select Default (same as disabled), Enabled, or Disabled for the Audio Focus Enforcement setting you want. (see screenshot below)
4 Click/tap on the RELAUNCH NOW button at the bottom to apply.
