there may be something preventing Storage Sense from automatically running when scheduled
Mmmh, I wonder if Everything updating file lists could be the cause… Does Win delay "online only" in case the file is just read from NTFS without being loaded? Or an antivirus pass will delay it?

I wouldn't think so for Everything since it's just a search tool.

It should instantly download an online-only file to your OneDrive folder when opened if currently connected to the Internet to have it available locally. Depending on how large the file is, it may take a moment to finish downloading though.

Well, IMHO this function is broken and doesn't work (Win10 1903).
Opened a TXT two days ago from OneDrive when it was online-only, now it has a green thick after 2 days have passed...

Storage Sensor is set every week, but OneDrive 1 day only. Maybe this is the problem?

    EDIT:
Clean now button worked and set the file Online-Only... hence it's probably just a design (and UI) incoherent issue, because nothing warns you that you have to set global Storage Sensor equal or lower than OneDrive's timeout setting...
As it is now they seem to be independent options and/or is not that clear the OneDrive cleanup will be actually started ONLY at global Storage Sensor timeout.
