Share Files and Folders Over a Network in Windows 10

Your instructions worked great. My file sharing is set up and it works. I set 2 folders on my Vista PC to share and they're now accessible from my Win10 PC. But now, I have two more questions for you:

1. When examining the Win10 PC to see if SMB was enabled (Client already was, I had to turn on Server though), I found a listing for Automatic Removal (it was already turned on). What is that feature for? Should it be left on or turned off? (Screenshot attached)

2. The two Vista folders that I'm sharing are listed in the Win10 PC's Network, but so is the Vista "Default" User (profile?). (Screenshot attached). I did not select that folder to share. I've never used the Default folder. Any idea why it's showing up too?

No, I didn't share anything inside the Default folder. And I just looked at the "Properties > Sharing" tab for each of those folders. They are all set as "Not Shared." Example screenshot attached.

When I shared my two folders, I set them to be accessible to Everyone, with Co-Owner privileges (the Vista choice for Read, Write, Remove, etc.). Not sure if that would cause the Default folder to be shared, too. Everyone as Co-Owner seemed the logical choice that was offered.

No, I didn't have to use Advanced Sharing. Everything was done through the Share button.

And if I remember correctly, a Sharing Wizard or Pop-Up window gave me some choices for Users and Permissions. I chose Everyone because there are no other Users on these two computers. I'm the only User and I didn't think that I could choose myself. Could I? Could I choose myself instead Everyone? My User name is the same on both PCs. I have a password on the Win10, but I don't on the Vista PC.

Maybe I'll play around with this... remove the Share, and Re-Share them with just myself and see what happens.
