Yeah this is not what I intend. Thanks for your support, Brink, but for now, I am finde with my little AutoIt script. It is not the smartes solution, but at least it does exactly what I want it to do:

    Code:
    Func enablePassAtReactivation()
       ShellExecute("ms-settings:signinoptions")
       WinWaitActive("[CLASS:ApplicationFrameWindow]")
       Sleep(600)
       Send("{TAB}{BACKSPACE}{TAB}{TAB}{END}")
       Sleep(100)
       WinClose("[CLASS:ApplicationFrameWindow]")
    EndFunc

The main thing is that it works for you. :)

Thank you for this, the wake login reappeared after the v1803 update.

Finally I got rid of password and lock-screen on my Surface Pro3. (Though it still requires password after restart)

I applied the registry script at the bottom of the page in this link:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...dows-10-a.html

    It is reversible as well.
Thanks man! I had the same problem and this helped me a lot.

    Hi Shawn
I use the command line method to make the change to turn the behavior OFF.
Does this method/registry edit need to be re-done every time a Feature Update comes through?

    Hello Bob,

Normally no, but it would be something to double check after a feature update to make sure it's still set how you wanted.

Yeah, it looks like the settings changed on one of the laptops.
I will add that one to my list of settings to check after feature updates.

It's always fun when an update resets settings back to default.

Windows 10 has changed; this thread needs major overhaul or deletion

Just one example, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Power\PowerSettings\ is no longer a key.
    Nor is
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Power
    Among many other things.
Revise title to reflect date and version of Windows 10 that this applies to. Maybe delete. Start over.
