I must admit that I'm not sure why the imported POW files didn't properly add the plans for you.

maybe it's because of the new Power Plan setting flyout via battery icon? I heard those only disable other power plans in favor of the W10 one.

I was able to still add them on my laptop that only originally had "Balanced" because of the new Power Mode level setting.

Update: they were gone because connected standby is enabled so I have to disable it, reboot, then switch to desired plan. Afterwards, I re-enable connected standby, reboot, and behold, the plan is saved across the connected standby changes.

I am having the same problem. I am not able to access any power plan settings and get the message, "Your power plan information isn't available."

When I tried the first option to powercfg -duplicatescheme, it adds the plan but still I get the same message, no power plan info available.

Next I tried importing one of the files you made available. I got the message, "You do not have the permissions required to perform this action" even though my command window is opened as Administrator. (From the Start Menu search, I typed "cmd", right clicked on cmd.exe and chose, "Run as Administrator".)

Is there some way to get past this permissions restriction so I can import a plan?

Hello @Everfree, and welcome to Ten Forums.

See if running the command below in an elevated command prompt may fix "Your power plan information isn't available".

    powercfg -RestoreDefaultSchemes
