For some reason both SecurityHealthService and wscsvc services were disabled, as both DWORDs values were 4. Luckily, this tutorial was successful in re-enabling both services, thank you once more Shawn/Brink. I don't use registry cleaners, so I just hope it wasn't a malware which disabled them. Nevertheless, I'm doing a full scan, hope nothing is found.

Is there a way to prevent access to "Windows Security" as opposed to disabling it entirely.

Currently I block access to Control Panel & Settings but this does not stop the user from being able to run the "Windows Security" window.

Google search doesn't seem to find anything relevant.

    Many Thanks

Yes, there is a way (or several), but I don't exactly know the specifics, I discovered this by accident.

I modified my Windows 10 installation media using NLite, this way I got rid of certain stuff I didn't want so my system runs fast using less resources. Example: my Windows Update is disabled, and when you try to access it, the controls are disabled and there is a message saying "*Some settings are managed by your organization".

I wanted to improve this for my wife's laptop, so I created another ISO... I didn't keep track of the details, but to my surprise, while the Windows Security works, it can't be disabled, instead it says blah blah it's managed by my organization blah blah. This is what I want, so I didn't bother finding out the details.

Perhaps there is an alternate way using policy editor?
