    That was a change with an earlier version of Microsoft Office, either 2010 or 2013. That didn't change the Windows Clipboard back then but I haven't checked what the limit is now for Win10. Pressing the Windows key + the V key shows the contents of the Windows Clipboard. Try that, looks like it holds several clips one can choose from.

    With no search and this limit it's not too useful for me, I'll stick with Ditto, search is front and central and default size is 500 items

    I just discovered this feature today. I have a couple of questions, though: Exactly where is the history being stored (i.e. "C:\Windows\Clipboard" or "C:\Users\user\Clipboard")? Is it encrypted for privacy purposes, or stored in plain text/HTML/BMP image format?

    Hello Daniel,

    The history is encrypted and stored as some data file in the folder below for each separate user account.

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Clipboard

    That's good, but...

    The logged on user's clipboard folder is seemlessly decrypted in the background and any apps have access to it. That's not so good...

    Question, wouldn't this registry entry disable the clipboard history for all local users?

    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Clipboard

    EnableClipboardHistory DWORD

    0 = Off
    1 = On
    TIA...

    Hey mate,

    I haven't tested using that DWORD in the HKLM key instead of its usual HKCU location. It won't hurt to test and see though.

    If you like, you can use an option in the tutorial below to completely disable Clipboard History for all users.

    G'Day mate!

    Yes, but that tutorial changes the the policy, that may and may not work with the W10 Home Edition. On the other hand, it does work with the Pro.

    I did have time to test the HKLM registry settings posted earlier; this is what the system setting shows for the clipboard:

    Tested on W10 Pro, 64-bit, member of workgroup that seems to work. I have no access to the Home Edition...

    You would need to use option 2 in Windows 10 Home, but it will work.
