Yes. I’d like to know how to get there from the generic OneDrive website or the Microsoft account website. Assuming there’s even a way.

even google seems to bury the delete sync data settings in such a way I have to google it and find a direct link each time. Makes you wonder.

especially as often as sync can go wrong. I’ve ended up with quadruples of bookmarks i couldn’t get rid of several times. Desktop colors that wouldn’t stop reverting etc.

    Hello Drew,

He's looking for the full path to get to the web page linked below instead of using the direct link below.

Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.
Ah, ok, Got it. Yeah, that's one of those hunt for Red October settings.

Anyway they can always pin the linked above by clicking the 3 dots, More settings, Pin to taskbar. Or save a shortcut link.

    Hello Drew, :)

You would need to turn off your sync settings, then delete them.

Next, fix your favorites in Microsoft Edge.

Afterwards, I would wait a day or two before turning on your sync settings again to make sure everything had time to fully clear. This way they will hopefully be synced properly again.
Hi Shawn. When you want to Delete personal settings from the cloud, do these instructions still apply now that we have Edge Chromium with Profiles? When using the Settings/Accounts/Sync Your Settings and Turn Off Sync Settings toggle is All device syncing still completely disabled? I ask because Edge Chromium profiles seem to have a separate syncing option now that some people have said works independently. I dont think it was there before with the legacy Edge browser. If, for example, you were having favourites syncing issues as the OP was here and wanted to start afresh, does the Settings/Accounts/Sync Your Settings and Turn Off Sync Settings toggle still do the job and disable all device syncing enabling the user to sort out the favourites syncing issue or does Edge Chromium syncing work independently?
I posted a related question a couple of days back that might clarify for you what I mean but was unable to get any feedback . I asked then, Does turning on the Sync option in an Edge Chromium Personal Profile work independently meaning even with syncing disabled in Settings/Accounts/Sync Your Settings, having the sync setting turned on in an Edge Chromium Microsoft Account profile would override it, meaning Edge Chromium settings (favourites/history etc) would still Sync to other devices anyway?

    Hey mate,

Good question. I'm thinking Microsoft Edge will be separate and independent from this for what I'm seeing so far.

Other that clearing it from within Microsoft Edge, you could also check below in the Microsoft Privacy Dashboard. The "Browsing history" feature in the dashboard was original for the old Cortana and Microsoft Edge, so I'm not sure the Chromium Microsoft Edge is included yet.

Use Microsoft Privacy Dashboard to Manage Your Privacy in Windows 10

The OP was having problems with his favourites messing up when syncing and wanted to clear all his personal settings in the cloud so he could get his favourites sorted out. Im thinking about when you want to Delete all personal Settings from the cloud. Before, as your tutorial says, on each device you just had to use the Settings/Accounts/Sync Your Settings and Turn Off the Sync Settings toggle then go back to the webpage and select Remove and that would delete all personal settings from the cloud. Im wondering now if the OP would have to take an additional step (turn off the sync option on Edge Chromium profile as well) or favourites, history, passwords etc would immediately sync straight back to the browser?

I would consider Microsoft Edge Chromium to be completely independent from this for now to be safe, and will have to be deleted separately.

You would need to turn off sync in Microsoft Edge, then clear any browsing data you do not want.

Thats what Im thinking too. Ive searched the web and there doesnt seem to be any information on the subject at all. So, in order to Delete all device sync settings from your Microsoft Account too, would you turn off sync in Microsoft Edge, then clear any browsing data you do not want. After you'd done that follow the instructions in the tutorial to Delete all personal device sync settings in the cloud and all personal settings would then be removed from the cloud including all Edge Chromium settings?

Just came across this: How to Turn On or Off Sync for Profile in Microsoft Edge Chromium

The sync data may be deleted from the Microsoft device dashboard. To manage your synced favorites, go to edge://favorites. To manage all other data types, go to edge://settings/profiles.

Hi Shawn. Thanks for the links ..very useful information mate
Is your understanding of it the same as I wrote in my earlier post then?
In order to delete device sync settings from your Microsoft Account there is now an additional step to the tutorial instructions. So that Edge Chromium is prevented from immediately syncing data straight back to the cloud, you would firstly have to turn off sync in your Microsoft Edge profile. After you'd done that you would just follow the instructions in the tutorial where you also turn off syncing under Settings/Accounts/Sync Your Settings to successfully delete device sync settings in the cloud

It appears so for device sync data, but browser data specific items such as favorites seem to still need to be done in Microsoft Edge.
