The device backup on OneDrive would be for devices like tablets or Windows 10 Mobile phones instead of a PC.
Thanks for clearing that up for me

    I can’t seem to get a clear answer, so I try here…

My "Favorites" under Edge is messed up with many duplicates. Anyway, looking around to solve the issue has revealed the issue may be a corrupt data file under your Microsoft Account.

That said, my question… If I delete my personal settings under my account, I assume a new set will be created once I enable Sync settings again? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but need to be sure. And hopefully solve my edge sync issues.

    Thanks.

    Hello Drew, :)

You would need to turn off your sync settings, then delete them.

Next, fix your favorites in Microsoft Edge.

Afterwards, I would wait a day or two before turning on your sync settings again to make sure everything had time to fully clear. This way they will hopefully be synced properly again.

How long does it take to fully remove your info from your Microsoft account? I deleted my personal info 2 days ago. Yet today when I tried syncing again my Edge favorites are still hosed. Lots of double / triple folders with some blank and others with only half the files...

Anyway I'm using a third party app (EdgeManager) to fix and sort Favorites but it would be nice to figure out why they keep getting hosed in the first place. Was hoping clearing my personal data would fix solve it.

anyone know how to actually navigate through the browser to that page without bookmarking the direct link? Im either extra special, or theyve buried it pretty well for some reason.

I go to the onedrive site, log in, go to settings, and have been up and down in there and am not seeing it.

dont want to be forced to bookmark it, but i also dont want to have to google and find a direct link like this each and every time i want to clear sync data. (since microsoft for whatever reason defaults sync to on and ive had that wreak havoc in the past but i digress)

Not exactly clear what you're looking for, but the Sync settings are under the 3 dots (upper right corner), Settings, Profiles; under the Profiles pane click on Sync and you'll see the sync settings.

    Hello Drew,

He's looking for the full path to get to the web page linked below instead of using the direct link below.

Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.
