I had a folder (Rohos) left over from program uninstall. I tried Option 1,2&3. Two restarts later, Rohos folder is no more.

Placing a shortcut (firefox in this case) in either C:\Users\Broags\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs or C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs gives me an all apps shortcut and a start menu tile.
I'm sorry, but your post doesn't make any sense. What part don't you want to happen, the Start Menu tile? I can copy a shortcut to those locations and I only get an All Apps item, I don't get a Start Menu tile, but I am running Insider Build 14965.

Unfortunately, there are installed softwares that are not listed in Program Data. KeePass is one example. Instead of searching for missing apps, is there a way to print the All apps list and then compare it to what's in Program Files & Program Files(86)?

Also noticed that the All apps list also lists numerous folders. Is it possible to get rid of them and just retain the app shortcut?

    Hello ineuw,

You should be able to right click on the program (not Store apps) in All Apps, and click on More > Open file location to find them.

You could move the shortcuts out of the folders in All Apps, and then delete the folders to only have the shortcuts.

I read the related thread about customization for gaming. Don't know about gaming requirements, I just wanted a quick access to all apps and I like the tile solution very much.

I did exactly as Brink recommended, and just want to add that the source of the displayed folders and the shortcuts of the tiles are dispersed to three folders, two of which are exclusive to the user. These can also be pooled into one or the other.

    Code:
    C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    C:\Users\%user%AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
This structure seemed to me to be a leftover from Windows 7. Since I have no user security concerns, I pooled all the shortcuts into C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.

My only question is whether it is possible to sort the tiles alphabetically?

I suppose you could drag and drop the tiles on Start in the order you want them.

Yes, but doing that is what made me ask the question because one mistake, or a forgotten app and everything has to be reordered.
