    C:\>powershell Export-StartLayout -Path "C:\layout.xml"

    From size (503 bytes) of resultant file we know that the file is worthless.

    Just a few elements, ONE of which contains content.
    <StartLayoutCollection>
    <defaultlayout:StartLayout GroupCellWidth="6" />
    </StartLayoutCollection>

    Ideas?
    Hello,

    If this is on Windows 11, it won't work.

    How does it work if tested?

    First I should check with you whether my expectation is correct, viz. the exportation of all of the category's settings :

    This wouldn't include any policy settings. Only the standard settings.

    Ok layout exportation will not give anything to replicate a much customized UI;
    can you think of some way of doing it? (workgroup environment)

    Deploying the same policies should have the same effect.

    Thank you Shawn. I am exploring how to do what you suggest.
