    Starting with Windows 10 build 16273, Microsoft can offer you suggestions throughout Settings. This content comes in a variety of forms, and can help you discover new features within Settings, or suggest new content and apps you may find interesting.

    This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off showing suggested content in the Settings app for your account in Windows 10.

    OPTION ONE

    Turn On or Off Suggested Content in Settings from Settings


    1 Open Settings, and click/tap on the Privacy icon.

    2 Click/tap on General on the left side, turn On (default) or Off Show me suggested content in the Settings app for what you want on the right side. (see screenshot below)

    3 You can now close Settings if you like.

    OPTION TWO

    Turn On or Off Suggested Content in Settings using a REG file


    The downloadable .reg files below will modify the DWORDs in the registry key below.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ContentDeliveryManager

    SubscribedContent-338393Enabled DWORDs
    SubscribedContent-353694Enabled
    SubscribedContent-353696Enabled

    0 = Off
    1 = On


    1 Do step 2 (on) or step 3 (off) below for what you would like to do.

    2 To Turn On Suggested Content in Settings

    This is the default setting.

    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    Turn_ON_suggested_content_in_Settings.reg

    Download


    3 To Turn Off Suggested Content in Settings

    A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below, and go to step 4 below.

    Turn_OFF_suggested_content_in_Settings.reg

    Download


    4 Save the .reg file to your desktop.

    5 Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

    6 When prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

    7 If you like, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.

    It appears that this doesn't work; I'm running Windows 10 Home Build 17134 for reference. All I did was run your .reg file to turn it off, and nothing happened even after restarting explorer; it looks like it may have changed.

    Yep, changes have been made again. There are two more DWORDS that get changed now.
