Busy Week Ahead: Win 10 TH2 to Launch Tomorrow, New Mobile Build also
-
So is TH2 really on for tomorrow?
If it is it just makes me wonder why any Insider would opt for the Slow Ring given that they would get a max of 24 hours before the final.
Could be wrong, but I'm thinking Windows Insiders with builds later than 10240 won't get the update when it comes out tomorrow.

Insiders already got the update, 10586, last week.

I hope this upgrade will bring the Edge browser into the current century. Or at least a "back" button that works like modern browsers.

Build 10576 had Edge ver. 25.1 so does Build 10586 so don't expect too much in the Edge department (someone tell me I'm wrong)

You're right. I didn't see any further progress for Edge from 10576. But then the only difference between 10576 and 10586 seems to be code optimization anyway. 10586 is very smooth.

Hope its quick upgrade not like some of the insider builds.
It took an hour and a half for me.

It is not as fast an upgrade as some of the insider builds. An hour and a half sounds about what I had. But then I remember how long it took to upgrade from XP to Vista (hours and hours and hours) and an hour and a half for a Windows 10 upgrade is really good time.

So that's what it will be. (maybe).
I read the update will be 1511. 15 for the year and 11 for the month.

Winver will show 1511.

OK. Thankyou for that info. I'll have the comfort of knowing that basic browser (Edge) features we still won't have, would have worked really SMOOOTHLY if MicroSoftBrain had incorporated them into this significant update in smoothness. Great...
