Samsung Electronics today unveiled the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G, two smartphones that demonstrate Samsung’s ongoing commitment to making the best of mobile innovations available to everyone. Both devices come with extensive security features such as Knox Vault, as well as new photography capabilities inspired by Galaxy’s flagship camera innovations and a stunning display that adjusts to users’ surroundings with Vision Booster.
“With the Galaxy A series, we are expanding our latest technologies to a wider audience so that more people can benefit from them,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “We are excited to open up even more possibilities on the Galaxy A series this year, including offering Samsung Knox Vault for the first time on this lineup. We’re proud to enable Galaxy A series users to safely and reliably enjoy outstanding mobile experiences.”
An Entertainment and Creativity Hub With Versatile Photography and Stunning Display
With enhanced Nightography, Galaxy A55 5G takes clearer and more vibrant photos even in poor lighting conditions. That means every nighttime photo can reach epic new levels. Galaxy A55 5G’s advanced AI Image Signal Processing (ISP) produces stunning low-light images never seen before on Galaxy A series. It’s not just scenery that looks amazing. Night Portrait mode and 12-bit HDR video ensure the people in every image look great so that capturing memories with friends and family is never dependent on the perfect lighting.
Both Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G offer the incredible photography capabilities that Samsung Galaxy is renowned for, including features such as optical image stabilization (OIS) and video digital image stabilization (VDIS) that keep photos and videos crisp even when filming on the go.
The new devices also continue the Galaxy A series’ tradition of making fun and immersive mobile experiences accessible to all. Users can enjoy watching the latest shows or browsing social media with Super AMOLED displays, showing astonishing clarity in Full High Definition. They can also count on the 6.6-inch1 screen on both the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G looking clear and bright in a range of light conditions thanks to Vision Booster.
Democratizing Samsung’s Most Powerful Security Innovations To Intelligently Protect More Customers for Longer
This year, Samsung is bringing one of its most innovative flagship security features, Samsung Knox Vault, to Galaxy A series users for the very first time, including on the new Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G. A hardware-based and tamper-resistant security solution, Samsung Knox Vault offers comprehensive protection against both hardware and software attacks by constructing a secure execution environment that is physically isolated from the system’s main processor and memory. It can help protect the most critical data on a device, including lock screen credentials, such as PIN codes, passwords and patterns. Samsung Knox Vault also protects device encryption keys, encrypting users’ private data stored in the device. Only a user who has the correct lock screen credentials can access their data, even if the device is lost or stolen.
The Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are also secured by Samsung Knox, Galaxy’s multi-layer security platform. One of the most trusted security platforms in the world, Samsung Knox is designed to safeguard critical information and protect against vulnerabilities with end-to-end secure hardware, real-time threat detection and collaborative protection, taking a holistic approach across the entire Galaxy ecosystem.
For even more ways to stay protected, the Galaxy A series offers Auto Blocker, an opt-in package of additional security measures. When switched on, Auto Blocker can block app installations from unauthorized sources, provide app security checks2 to scan for potential malware and block potentially malicious commands and software installations to your device while connected by USB cable. New Galaxy A series users will also have access to Galaxy’s Security and Privacy Dashboard, making it easier than ever to see and control what is happening to their data and withdraw any permissions whenever they choose. They can also enjoy Private Sharing (part of Quick Share), which enables the secure and encrypted sharing of private files containing important personal or financial information. To ensure confidentiality, users can control the recipient’s access permissions and the file’s expiration date, while also choosing to limit screenshots or downloads.
The new Galaxy A series smartphones demonstrate Samsung’s commitment to ensure Galaxy devices remain secure and up-to-date for longer. With the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G, users will continue to benefit from up to four generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and five years of security updates, optimizing the lifecycle of the devices by keeping them equipped with all the latest Galaxy and Android features.
Seamless Connection With the Ever-Expanding Samsung Galaxy Ecosystem
The Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are fully compatible with the Galaxy ecosystem giving users a smooth and integrated experience across a range of Galaxy devices. Users can keep up with their fitness goals by connecting Galaxy Fit3 or Galaxy Watch6 to their Galaxy A series smartphone. And, thanks to Auto Switch, incoming calls will be automatically switched to connected Galaxy Buds FE for enhanced convenience.

Run android 11 ( because all of that DRM stuff is just stupid ) so my parents could enjoy there FANG without having to move their SIM card around. But my understanding the new SIM card can not fit earlier phones at all.
1. Android/Smart TV ( that is updated )
2. Windows via official phone mirroring application ( which might need internet connection for some reason ).
3. Just using Scrcpy. Scrcpy is a simple way for you to have multiple android samsung hardware mirrored via
USB or even on the network without any extra software but scrcpy ( and ADB which comes with Scrcpy ).
Scrcpy can mirror android 12, but as with updated Smart TV, and even official OS applications the DRM of
Amazon Prime
Netflix
Disney+
Blocks the video but plays the sound and words.
Only on Android 11 the ability to scrcpy video+sound to your computer will work. Earlier android will only bring over video, forcing you to use a blue-tooth or stereo-jacks for sound.
If your smart TV is updated ( Firestick as well ) this DRM will also block the video from your phone no matter which version.
Your reduced to using Youtube or running a Virtual Machine within your phone.
I had a Galaxy Note 4 and tried to use my SIM card I was using in my Galaxy Light. Does not work? Why? While the SIM card matches up and I do have 3G service, the truth is the card itself is not designed Sowith the same codes or even the same direction
of how it was being read.
So recently when I got a phone I had to "cut the card" despite the store people with no tools and no real understanding of repairing the phone outside of moving data. My question is. Will my microSD card be able to work flawlessly with 5G or 4G and have no issues at all ?
I have been looking at the newest card models and it looks like they are built differently then the previous models. Question?
Could I pop this into my Galaxy Light series and have at least 4G service without any issues?
..........
The only other option would be to clone the SIM card ( which is almost impossible ). I want to be able to use all my phones and devices that will use a MicroSD card with little or no problems. Not just whatever is being offered to me.

I need the phone to work across my devices.
You are really mixing issues. SD cards are a storage device and have nothing to do with 3G, 4G or 5G.
It is possible some more modern larger capacity SD cards are not compatible with older phones as the firmware on the older phones was limited on size of cards it would accept. Short of ditching the old phone, all you can do is use lower capacity SD cards.
Also most modern phones insert the SD card in a socket that you need to use a pin or similar to release. Very few nowadays have a simple push and eject slot.
Regarding SIM cards, virtually all SIMs are nowadays nano-sims. Some very old phones used the larger micro SIMs which you could cut down to fit a more modern phone, then you could use an adaptor to fit older phones. It is many years since I ever used a micro-sim.
Depending on age of SIM, they may be 3G only, 3G+4G (most SIMS) and in the last year or two 3G+4G+5G. However, if the phone is really old, it might only run 3G. Most phones nowaday can run 3G plus 4G, but newer ones in last couple of years may also run 5G.
However, even if phone is 5G compatible, it still depends on your service provider to provide a 5G service, and rural areas may not get such a service.
Some major UK service providers are now switching off 3G. Anybody with such an old phone will only be able to use the basic 2G text and phone services.
By the way, in UK cloning SIM cards is illegal, and I am pretty sure it is same in most countries.
I am not talking SD storage but the SIM card itself. Micro ( which is in most phones right now ) has two types. Earlier Micro and later version. All in the 4G line, but that cut off gap which is not really made public is where it becomes confusing. Because the card fits the same and the rest the same but is not the same.
If you take a SIM card for a Galaxy Light ( which is a newer phone ) and use it within a Note 4 ( which logically is older ). It will not boot and will only have phone calls and no 4G.
You can fit literally hundreds of 4G lines within a 5G data-stream. So there is no point for 5G at all. While not all 4G phones but many support the 5G if enabled.
Cloning your card is a legal practice. You can get multiple lines of the same phone on it. They will both ring at the same time.
However they make it extremely hard to do it. Every-time you use your phone ( even when your sleeping ) the phone is scanning the card. To get the code it takes so many scans it will ware out the card before it could accomplish that goal.
The need for cloning is that sometimes the phone-provider store ( those losers who are literally twelve ), do not have the knowledge or equipment to clone your card. In the past they did. They had a simple machine that would read the data and then they would program a new card.
If I went with my card to my provider they would just push me to get a new phone or even provide a card that will not work properly ( which I am trying to get a cross ). They might even disable my line on purposely making claims that might device is not covered and blah blah blah but in reality they are providing me with a card that is limited or have they have limited my device on purpose.
That being said older/earlier cards of the same 4G work differently then later/newer cards.( they fit the same and should work but they are not ) It is almost impossible to make a duplicate. Again you can not really do anything with the copy asides use it, as a replacement for your previous card. It is like using a Netflix account in multiple places at once, it would not add-up and the service would stop because of the faultiness of location.
Point being the phone companies are scammers. You and me are better off with a internet-only-plan with no phone, and then using SIPS to get a free phone number. One to call out and one to receive calls. The option to run your own phone server is there is as well and could save you tons of money legally by doing so.
...................................
I need scrcpy to work so my realtives could watch there Netflix, Disney++, Prime, Hulu without it being blocked via updates.
Anything after Android 11 is snake oil in that matter. I need full support
What is worst is that newer android ignores the HOSTS files.
The HOSTS file could be used to block Advertisements and malicious sites, including blocking anything you want.
Without the HOSTS file every-time you browse you get Ads based on your browsing or logins.
