Guess we'll see how this works out....
At the base level, the AI Pin is a wearable projector, with the ability to capture photos with an ultraawide RGB camera, send text messages and emails, and answer your most curious questions thanks to its ChatGPT-like capabilities.
Humane's AI Pin will start at $699, with three color options (black, black with silver edges, and white with silver edges), and officially go on sale November 16. The AI Pin will also require a $24 monthly "Humane Subscription" to access cellular data via T-Mobile's network (with a phone number in tow), cloud storage for photos and videos, and unlimited queries of its voice assistant.
When prompted with a physical tap on the device, the AI Pin can project a Laser Ink Display onto the palm of your hand. You can navigate the operating system, dubbed Cosmos, by tilting or rolling your hand forward or backward. A pinch gesture with your index and thumb fingers selects what's on the projected display. And making a closed fist brings you back to the home screen.
I remember reading back then when Google Glass came out a guy got arrested at the theater because they thought he was recording the movie with his Google Glass. Now look what technology we have today.
Well lets be fair, it is a Star-Trek pin and do I need to see anything at all?
1. Can I use my 2017 micro-sd card inside of it?
2. Can I use it on whichever service provider?
3. Can I hook it to my windows machine and run scrcpy allowing me to use like a regular Mobile-Samsung device ???
4. What is the OS?
5. $700 for a piece of metal and shines a light on my hand? When my state gun-laws are messed up and Lesbians call themselves feminist when they have not experienced half of anything under those topics outside of not losing their virginity, and property owners are raising the rates meanwhile the value of money is falling. Is it worth my money?
For a star-trek pin? Speaking of which the film "A.I." has some of that technology already, yet where are my XXX-bots from
"Cherry 2000", Where is my "Galaxena" who's behind I would tap with full of sparks, Where is my "Stepford Wife" replicant I share with my neighbors ???
Might as well get PID injected into my hand, and have the display being fed into my eyes, just to top it off I get a tramp-stamp-tattoo on my body that reads "Beast 666" like from "Toxic-Avenger" or a "Chick-book"
I have two powered USB 2.0 hard drives that I plan to plug into a powered USB 3.0 hub. I know I won't get the USB 3.0 speed, but should the I also connect each drive's power connection?
Thank you for your help.
Hi there
Intuitively one might think using Powered (from the mains) external USB HDD's would require more power from the computer as well compared with those small self powered units.
I've no way to measure this but I'm sure the small units...
