    Yes, there is a scientific explanation for this song crashing older lappys. A curiosity for sure....

    The reason, explains Chen, is that Rhythm Nation contained one of the "natural resonant frequencies" on laptops with 5400rpm hard drives.

    For what it's worth, I have seen other technical articles by Raymond Chen in the past and they have been spot on.
    The existence of the CVE report, however, is also persuasive.
