Cloud services - global outage again today

    Hi folks
I think the AZURE service (Ms) was unaffected but those who always advocate move everything to the cloud should consider that these services do suffer downtime (more frequently than realized).

    From the BBC today

Unfortunately that brings to mind the old saying about not keeping all the eggs in the same basket.

Yeah, that's why with the cloud, you specifically engineer things to NOT be in the same basket. With the various cloud providers, you have different regions where you should be placing things. In addition, organizations have the ability to utilize tools like Terraform to stand up their infrastructure utilizing different cloud providers.
