John McAfee (A/V creator) found dead in Cell

    Hi folks
Seems that some high profile tech developers don't always enjoy the "high Life"
John McAfee who created the A/V system that bears his name and was used by zillions of corporations was found dead in a prison cell today: John McAfee: Anti-virus creator found dead in prison cell - BBC News

I think he was being held as the article says awaiting extradition to USA on Federal Income tax charges.

So even though he ended up as one of the world's richest men (after selling the company to INTEL) it didn't benefit him in the long run.

So all you budding entrepreneurs out there - ensure your business is Tax compliant (whatever you feel about the system wherever you are).

    Cheers

They were after this guy for a long time. I don't know whether I believe he committed suicide, He was a bit bizarre but whether he was right or not isn't for me to judge

Twitter -- too confusing for "oldies like me" - it's too "itsy bitsy" -- I've never been fond of it either -- but "each to their own". I prefer longer articles / comments with a specific theme rather than the confused mumbo jumbo from Twitter which probably is the modern day equivalent to George Orwell's Newspeak in his classic excellent book 1984.

I watched a program on him 3 or 4 years ago.

It didn't exactly cast him in the best light. He seemed rather odd, to me.

    Sad.

He was a very bright guy. Turned to the dark side.

    Too bad.
