The "available for pre-order today ... begin shipping on May 26" seems to apply worldwide, certainly on Amazon in Canada and the UK.

    Hi there
This looks like quite a good offer -- 10 inch is fine for watching movies etc on the move -- Standard Mobile phone screens for me at least are too small.
The possibility of using sd micro cards as extra storage is great as well -- nice if you want to store some DVD rips etc for watching while travelling.

    1080p on a 10 inch screen is perfectly fine -- you don't need 4K UHD on a 10 inch screen !!!!

Note also with the version of Android in these tablets you can sideload VLC, and KODI so that makes playing multimedia from your own network / NAS systems a doddle and you can if you have a SKY TV subscription install SKY GO on it.

How To Install Kodi On Kindle Fire Tablet and Add Fuel to Entertainment

NETFLIX in Native mode (as an app rather than browser based although that works too) also installable. AMAZON PRIME VIDEO enabled by default of course.

The only area (but that's the same for any flat screen type of device currently is that it's not brilliant in bright sunshine (yes even here you can get sunshine !!!) so don't chuck away your kindle just yet if you use those.

I don't expect any shortage of supply with these for those who want them -- Amazon has a perfectly decent record of being able to fulfil orders reasonably quickly - and if there's competition for chips etc Amazon has very deep pockets' !!

I'm probably going to get one of these myself -- for multimedia on the move it's a lot more convenient than a laptop.

Blu tooth audio is also a plus for wireless phones too. There's really nothing not to like about this machine -- even "The Price is right" to quote a well known supermarket chain's logo.

Question though but certainly not a show stopper is that does it have any VIDEO out so one could project to a larger screen. It comes with a detachable keyboard so IMO there would be no reason to only have internal display possibilities.

Interesting though their website says "Out of Stock" rather than "Pre-order or available from ...."

I sometimes wonder who maintains some of these commercial websites though -- surely you want people to order your products - not put them off with "Out of Stock" message for a new product that hasn't even been released yet. !!!!

    Cheers
