Hi there
This might be OK for B2B (Business to Business) but for B2C (Business to Customer) -- i.e end consumer -- might not be the best solution to be overwhelmed with an array of products.
In theory sounds OK but in practice !!!
I still remember years and years ago as a young lad on my first visit to a huge Supermarket in L.A California where I was confronted with about 60 varieties of lettuce of all things (and pretty well every thing else had a huge number of different brands and varieties). -- Especially if your only experience of "Salad Lettuce" back then (Iceland unlike today was a relatively poor country back in 1980's etc) was something grown in far away Spain that only appeared for about 3 days in July !!!!! and was a strange green thing that looked like something out of early Science Fiction movies).
OK we are all better informed these days but "Information Overload" can still be a problem and with this type of approach the companies with the deepest pockets will benefit most -- while not necessarily being the best option for the consumer.
Sometimes "Too much choice" just overwhelms people -- OK after a while but much better IMO to guide people to how to make a choice and then let people do their own research.
I don't mind if I have to have ads (Internet isn't "Free" of course) - but I'd rather have them geared to what I'm doing / want rather than thrown at me willy nilly by the companies with the deepest pockets.
A.I has loads of good (or even great) potential but we have to be very careful on how it's used.
Cheers
