Roll back to legacy/general audio driver

    Hi,

    I have a Lenovo G580 laptop
It's audio drivers are not supported in Windows 10 (only v8.1)
When windows installs it's newly Microsoft drivers (picture attached) there is no sound.
I need to force Windows to go back to a legacy audio driver and restrict Windows from updating it (picture attached)
How do I force Windows to install legacy/general audio driver for this device ?

    Thank you

Hi, If you need to use an older version driver you must either download and install it, or roll back to it if available, and block updates that replace it.

Once you have received a driver update you don't want you can stop that replacing the driver you do want thus:

To roll back to a previous driver version (if you have that installed)

You can also disable all driver updates, though this is not recommended.

You are free to browse and search the extensive tutorial section which can help with many questions.

What if you don't have the option or 'rollback" driver button is grayed. Then likely i can't roll back to driver before the one installed currently?

The button being greyed out implies there isn't an earlier driver in your current major build's history...
