Realtek, Windows, Nvidia or manufacturer audio drivers?

    To expand on the title:
What's the best way to keep audio drivers updated? In my case I have a Gigabyte z97 motherboard with the Realtek ALC1150 chip.

    • The driver from Gigabytes website is woefully out of date, early '16.

    • Windows hasn't given me any Realtek driver, just the MS one.

    • I don't think the Nvidia ones are really an option but I could be wrong.. think they're just for HDMI or something and not specifically for the ALC1150.

    • And I can never seem to navigate the Realtek driver website properly.. I usually end up going in circles and end up with the wrong driver anyway!

I know it's not really a major issue.. I can just install the old drivers, but I always like to have the latest driver if possible. Just wondering what drivers other people use?

I have the 5.1 Surround Logitech z506, not great by any means but they're fine.

Nice one, I'll give that a go. Latest from Gigabyte is .7727.
