Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

in win 10 64 bit 1903 with all drivers, (i'm using now 8694) only stereo front speakers works.
Even with checked 5.1 fill speakers, surround speakers don't work

I'm still on 8648. Any general agreement there's something clearly better now?

here's the direct download link to 8694.1 HDA (114.1Mb) cab package from MUC (in case MS decides to no longer list it in the future but should remain there this month)
Brink should update the 1st post to 8694 - contains generic HDA driver with FMAPO files [like FF01]
so far no HDA/UAD drivers from MUC in the 8700s - that could change in either late june or sometime in july

Thank you. First post updated.

Thanks. Will do that once I get home from work. I just did a quick search and theoretically this one should work.

My Dell PC is 5 years old and still runs flawlessly. It was shipped with Win 8.1 Pro so it had to come with one of the supporting Realtek Audio Chip numbers for the above link driver update. Hopefully this works since I really haven't come across anyone saying "update to this after 1903 update and sound will be back". It doesn't necessarily need to be the latest driver update just once that works with Win 10 1903.
what kind of Dell PC are you using, FuSchnickens? use Speccy or HWINFO to determine series (like Inspiron, Vostro, XPS, Optiplex, Latitude, Precision, etc.) & model # of your Dell computer
Dell hardly does realtek driver updates for older models; they usually release new drivers but list them for newer model pcs
My aunt's Dell Inspiron 580 desktop PC (nearly 9 years old - much older than yours - originally came with Win7) uses FF10 Creative Realtek HDA drivers since I like to use either Creative X-FI MB2 or THX Trustudio audio enhancement on there. I have v8703.1 FF10 HDA driver on there since there are no newer FF10 versions higher than 8703.1.

Seems not. 8648 here too

Extremely happy with it.
No need to change, although 8716, was tempting (I need to listen more to it, to decide if I switch!)

I have a Dell XPS 8700 purchased in early 2014. The current Realtek driver it's using is 6.0.1.7544.

I've installed a HDA driver v8716 on my old MSI GS60 Ghost Pro laptop with ALC892 and I liked it. I wonder if I can install the same driver on my PC with ASUS X470 STRIX F-Gaming onboard, ALC1220s? The newest driver on ASUS homepage isn't so old (8666), but I'd like to check the differences between these drivers. The original ASUS drivers include ROG SupremeFX Realtek audio panel and Sonic Studio III which I'd like to keep.

I have a copy of the ROG UAD 8716 if you want them, they are on my OneDrive.
