Here is an interesting post from MoKiChu who is the drivers god at ROG Forums:

@Everyone : Do not use jack amplification lvl 2 or lvl 3 on speakers, use only the jack amplification lvl 2 or lvl 3 on headphones.

Even if automatic detection via the jack validates your speakers for lvl 3 amplification, the tool actually thinks it's a headphones. Even if it works, you damage your speakers and you will generate distortion subtle but very unpleasant to hearing. So, speakers via jack : only use the jack amplification lvl 1.
[DRIVERS] Realtek HD Audio (UAD) - Page 51

    He's talking about this:

I have had mine always set to Extreme(level 3) and this might explain why on some drivers I would get short buzz sometime on certain Realtek drivers at a certain tone.

I'll give his recommendation a try and just turn up the volume on my soundbar.

Hi I'm new here and need some help.
I have Dell Laptop with Realtek HDA AL3234 (it's not ALC), Dell rarely update their drivers and last Realtek driver was released on 22 March 2019. I have tried few latest Realtek drivers (from Necacom) but none of the drivers work with my Realtek. It installs but Dell Audio Sound Manager does not work properly, most of the features don't work.
I wonder if there's any way I can install new drivers or if there is any Dell specific Realtek drivers?
My Dell Realtek driver also have built-in MAXXAUDIO PRO. I also tried windows 10 update but its the worst one.
    Thanks
    Attachment 237057
yesterday I tried 6.0.8720.1 & 6.0.8716.1 but none worked, maxxaudio still broken, I also tried couple of 6.0.1.85xx (driver booster recommendation) but they also did not work.

Have you updated the BIOS on the laptop? Had to do that at work and it fixed the issue on a Dell Laptop

what is the model number of your Dell laptop, ChristianM? run Speccy or HWINFO to gather the model # of the Dell laptop.

It looks like you will need to use the Dell specific Realtek audio drivers as the 8716.1 & 8720.1 versions do not provide any maxxaudio integration (unless you can specify the model & series of the Dell computer like Dell Inspiron, Dell XPS, Dell Latitude, etc.; for ex. Dell XPS 15 9560 uses Realtek HDA [nonUAD] drivers w/ Maxxaudio - latest realtek audio driver for the xps 9560 is 8622)

Hi, can you help me, wich one version should i install:
    8726_UAD_Dell_SST2672.02_WHL_MA80_250_282_4080_WHQL_MUP.zip
    8726_UAD_Dell_SST2672.02_WHL_MA80_250_283_4080_WHQL_MUP.zip
    8726_UAD_Dell_SST2672.02_WHL_Nahimic_1310_15110_WHQL_MUP.zip
    Or just Generic 8721.1_HDA_UAD_Win10_RS3_RS4_RS5_19H1_X64_WHQL.zip?
I always downloaded ff06, and update ff06 is end since 1 month ago.
    This is my device: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0256&SUBSYS_10280798&REV_1000\4&26C3247F&1&0001
    I have dell 7567.
    you could try 8726_UAD_Dell_SST2672.02_WHL_MA80_250_283_4080_WHQL_MUP.zip, Mazur.
first you need to uninstall any FF06 HDA driver completely (never install UAD driver on top of HDA driver - that will make a mess of things) before installing the recent UAD driver. HWID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0256&SUBSYS_10280798" is supported by both FF06 HDA and the newer UAD drivers

edit: I take it back. these 8726 UAD drivers have Maxxaudio 8.0 integration (MA80 = maxxaudio 8.0) - these drivers will "partially" install, meaning the Realtek UAD driver will install but will not install the Maxxaudio 8.0 software component - the DellAudioExtWaves.inf extension INF file from 8726_UAD_Dell_SST2672.02_WHL_MA80_250_283_4080_WHQL_MUP.zip does not support nor include ID "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0256&SUBSYS_10280798".

but this one from 8710 will - 8710_UAD_Dell_MA75_81_276_WHQL_MUP.zip (this one has Maxxaudio 7.5 which will work with your Dell Inspiron 7567 gaming laptop)

Somehow I managed to get the sound driver to work after doing the Win 10 1903 upgrade. I tried several different versions and most of them gave me an error. So I decided to completely delete the Dell driver. With the Dell driver I had looked under details in device manager and saw a bunch of additionally installed system files including the MAXX audio stuff. I deleted that driver and rebooted and Win 10 reinstalled driver 6.0.1.7544 which was the exact same driver number when I was installing the one from Dell. The one difference I noticed is that when I looked under details under in device manager and saw the driver only. There weren't a bunch of other system files installed like when I was using the Dell one and strangely my audio started working again. I think this is all on Dell for just failing to upgrade their drivers.

I'd go with the 114.1 MB one for 1809 as it contains the Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Even if I'm on Win 10 1903 and this 6.0.1.7544 is the current driver Realtek is using.
