Does anyone here have any info on the naming conventions for the Dell HDA drivers AlanFox2000 hosts on his github site?
I am trying to figure out what the designations following the xxxx_UAD_Dell_ (in green below) refer to:

    8683_UAD_Dell_SST4001.01_2427.02_MA80_193_269_4070_WHQL_MUP.zip
    8666_UAD_Dell_MA80_162_264_4070_WHQL_MUP.zip
    8656_UAD_Dell_MA80_82_263_4070_WHQL_MUP.zip

Can anybody help decode the Dell driver filenames above?

The FF06 v8656 and v8648 generic drivers have worked for me on my Dell XPS 8920, as it shipped with Waves Maxx integration, but I am wondering if one of the Dell driver sets might be a better fit to my HW:

    (HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0899&SUBSYS_102807DC&REV_1000, realtek ALC899)

    Thank you!
So, if I run it for a few minutes and then stop and the time passed under each section is exactly the same, then I'm good?
When running them you should also have other programs running too, like a browser, media player, a game, and the timer testers really only need to run for a few seconds usually.

I have installed UAD drivers for my mainboard, which is an Asus prime x470 pro, from this website: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...ltek-HD-Audio-

Everything is working fine, but I can't install realtek audio control app from store. After tying three times, store cancels installation with error 0x803FB005. Anything I can do here?

Oh yeah, from the short test I did(I'll check it out more tomorrow) on Hunt The Dinosaur's - Destructo bass drops, and Bishop Briggs - The way I do baas mids and highs, and the bass and ambient sound of SEVDALIZA - HUMAN, it seems this driver has the best of both 48 & 88

Oh and it freakin' sounds great on Insider Edge(really power bass with punch)
Lol - I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to do another full-fledged review, but seeing as how at least part of our musical tastes seem to coincide, I'll take your word on this one and give it a shot this weekend.

Thanks. I looked up this headset because I was curious. From what I can see, you have a fully digital signal delivery path. Seems to give you the choices of USB & optical. With a fully digital path, you could leave windows and all apps at 100% and control the volume on the headset as you do. I think it's more problematic when it has to go through a DAC in the comp first before exiting through the 3.5mm output.

Though, I see there were multiple models of the A40 made over 10 years and some did use 3.5mm. Is your version using 3.5mm?
IIRC, I have the very first version of the A40 (which might also be before the company was bought out by Logitech) - yes, 3.5mm plugged into the front panel 3.5 mm jack on my build. And I'm pretty sure that it *is* going through a DAC before hitting my ears, hence my emphatic statements about the tests I conduct and my methodology all leading to subjective results only.

Of course, the age of both the headphones (several years) and the age of the machine itself (pushing a decade) will have a lot to do with it, above and beyond my personalization settings....

This one is missing the SS3 integration, so if you use sonic suite you won't have any sound.

    @oliver44
    Update:

Note : Since, as you may have noticed, I no longer propose a Standalone version of the drivers, the naming was simplified (ASUS Nahimic + SS3 integration > ASUS Nahimic), but the drivers still contain the SS3 integration drivers (I added the details of the SS3 integration drivers versions on the update post and the thread).

The HDA ones are also updated
