    The UAD version is ready for download for ROG systems, the HDA isn't up yet.

    Ok 8678 has better mids and highs, but the punch to the bass is missing, it's more a thump

    Whats the latest version I would need for my Alienware Aurora R7 system?

    I'm running an older version of the Realtek drivers.

    I use UAD with the Realtek Audio Console.

    Thx!

    Man I feel like there was JUST a new version a couple days ago. I have been on 8648 (I think...) for a while and the prior two versions have lacked some character for sure. Noticeably. I have to try the latest still.

    Try this Dell Specific v6.0.1.8603 A01 driver from this Dell page (though made for a Dell Alienware Area-51m laptop);

    if that one does not work, try this v6.0.1.8614 generic UAD driver that I repacked a few months ago

    8648 still offer the most balanced sound IMHO. A little bump of mid tones in 8678.

    I agree. The new ones are just....."dryer" on the ears if that makes any sense.

    I haven't upgraded from 8648 either.

    I'm involved with the world's largest trivia contest starting in a couple of hours and lasting the entire weekend - so no testing anything newer until that is over.
