    Indeed!

    I've just happened to have repaired over 25 laptops and diagnosed at least another 35-40 (full disassembly), another 50+ (partial disassembly) and hundreds (pure software / no disassembly). I'm comfortable taking them apart.

    Then again, I kinda have to be, running a (private) repairshop, don't I?
    Definitely!!!
    Too bad you're more than 9k Km away mate. You could have diagnosed and fixed it in a snap....

    Impossible to not agreed with that, Realtek is a cheap solution, but not necessarily a bad solution, we all music lovers do the best we could ($$$) to achieve "that" thing that make us love it so much. Realtek make drivers in an insane way, quantity (ftp guys?) and quality. No one here's seems to care about making benchmarks in games or anything else, so...i'ts about music, right?...it's not placebo like some users posted before, at least for my onboard audio codec. Realtek is very enigmatic about their products, drivers, etc. Seems that we're can only count with each other help...

    Unofficial Realtek Audio generic 6.0.1.8679
    - changed the way installer restarts on next logon (using startup folder now for higher reliability);
    - installer should finally be able to handle Intel Audio devices.

    8678 (more sound stage) > 8673 *We're in the different game!

    Haven't try 8679 UAD yet. I'm still sticking with classic HDA.

    I have downloaded this realtek driver just to see if it would install. It doesn't have the sound manager or the realtek audio controller and so, i'm not sure if i will keep it installed because i'm trying to capture better sound like i had in windows 7.

    My version is 6.0.1.8581 and Driver support says this is the correct one for my Windows 10 PC. Replies so far are only about up dating the driver and do not help with my audio balance setting problem.
