Literally, the UAD is more suitable for newer boards like H170/Z170 onwards.
Can you differentiate between UAD & HDA?

The HDA-installer is very big , compared with UAD .
I never noticed much difference in sound-quality between them, so I will keep using the UADs , if possible.........

This has probably been covered countless times, but regular Realtek driver downloads can apparently be converted to support additional setups such as Creative (FF10). The only explanation of how to do that I've found is, "Drag and drop extracted FF00 folder to the batch file." To what batch file? Is there any detailed tutorial of the process available?

Hi, I have a gigabyte x470 gaming 7 mobo which has the 1220-vb and ess sabre headphone amp, Gigabyte, are only up to 8475, is there any way i can just update the driver alone?

Have you tried with auto update from Device manager ?

Once you get the generic 85xx_FF00 file and the corresponding Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.85xx WHQL SVF for repackaging, extract both files in two different folders. Open each of these two folders in its own separate window and place the two windows side by side. Click on the 85xx_FF00 folder in the first window and drag it on the FF10 batch file, in the other. When you release the mouse button a command window will open and it will create a new folder within the WHQL SVF folder, which will include FF10 in its name. That is the folder with the FF10 driver you need to install.

Thanks very much. I'll give it a try.

You're most welcome.
Good luck and please post back if it worked, so others can benefit from that solution!
