the RLT chipset info alone is not enough, fdegrove. also depends on the hardware ID as well - that's why I have to keep asking people what hardware ID they have on their realtek audio devices.
one RLT chipset with certain hardware ID(s) may have certain Dolby features while the same RLT chipset with a different hardware ID may not.
Hi,
Ok, if you say so. To me a certain chip has basic capabilities just like any piece of electronic stuff. Anything else is then a matter of granted licenses or do I see this wrong ?the RLT chipset info alone is not enough, fdegrove. also depends on the hardware ID as well - that's why I have to keep asking people what hardware ID they have on their realtek audio devices.
Not my area of expertise, really.
Cheers,
@Tonyb: Isn't that the perfect stereophonic posting ??
To be honest I'm not the slightest bit interested in Dolby, I just consider it an artifact. The only Dolby compatible device I have on my PC is a Corsair USB gaming headset which uses it's own drivers.
UM it says it does on realtek here is a direct copy from there page . or is this a host function of programs ???

6.0.1.8393 with MBAPO Integration x64 is now available. Working great on my Gigabyte board.
