hopefully 8308 will show up on MS Update Catalog by the end of November. I've obtained the 8308 drivers mentioned from the Station Drivers forum and have updated some of my machines with Realtek audio to this version.
I'll update the realtek audio driver on my aunt's Dell Inspiron 580 PC to the customized 8295 version provided by Gigabyte (instead of either 8302 or 8308) to preserve the Creative X-FI MB2 audio integration.
Edit 11/27 - AH CRAP! Gigabyte seemed to have recently yanked the 8295 drivers from their web site. the links did work thru my aunt's cable internet on 11/26 but do not work thru my home DSL internet this morning.

Ye, I noticed that yesterday too. So it looks like they really know about the problem already. But I was forced to buy an audio internal card anyway.. can't wait sooo long for a fix. But you guys helped me a lot here.. and I learned something here and there
not sure what kind of sound card luckerr got.
just remember that for example the MS Update version of 8295 (obtained from either Windows Update or MS Update Catalog) is different than Gigabyte's customized 8295 driver and that the customized version had the Creative MBAPO integration DLL files while the MS version does NOT have them - I've checked them myself [Realtek has lots of money and manpower to produce customized and general release audio drivers and have them WHQL'ed by MS]. there was also a v8287 x64 driver pack (140.7Mb size) from MS Update that has Maxxaudio integration files & application software for certain Dell machines, which was later posted than the "general released" version of 8287 [w/out the maxxaudio files] also available from MS Update Catalog.
I usually update every 50-something build like from 8250 to 8300 and so on. so far, I'm liking the 8308 version.
maybe Gigabyte may update their audio drivers to at least 8302 or better the year ends. :)
Edit 11/28: another 8302 download (81.6Mb size) from MS has shown up but for hardware id "intelaudio\func_01&ven_10ec&dev_0295&subsys_103c83b9" [hmm, a Subsys ID beginning with 103c indicates the vendor ID is Hewlett-Packard (HP)], - this seems to be an SST based audio driver.
@erpster4 Yeye, I understand that. And I am also 100% sure that the problem is in the drivers. But as I already wrote in here.. drivers (MS Update catalog) after clean Win10 install works - but I can not use equalizer (even the default one in Windows). If I download the same drivers from Gigabyte.. there is a desync + microphone problem (but EQ works). Does not matter If I use front/back panel.
So I gave up .. I need to be in touch with people via microphone.. It's sad that I was forced to buy a new sound card on mainborad like that.
Can anyone help me? I have a Gigabyte B150M-GAMING DDR4 mobo, just installed latest realtek drivers but sound enhancements doesn't work, can't use equalizer or anything from the realtek's sound manager. I'm on a clean installed Win10 OS 1709.
Is this a known bug?
Since 2weeks (last driver update of realtek i did) my sound volumes reset permanently
for example if i set chrome to 30% and restart chrome boom its back to 100% and it obviously is very very annoying - is there a known fix to this? i know several people with the same problem but we didnt find a solution yet
any suggestions?
