    Hi,
I want latest Realtek UAD for my rig.. where can I find the download?

    my Laptop's specs ->>
    Asus ROG GL702VMK
    Windows 10 Pro 1809 (Build 17763.437)
    [Realtek chipset] ALC3236-VB2
    Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0255&SUBSYS_10431760
by the way, the reason I need UAD and not the legacy HDA is that I want to be able to equip my system with Audio Enhancers like 'Dolby Atmos gaming for speaker system' which from my understanding needs UAD alongside Realtek Audio Control Console to be installed first....

Not surprising. I wouldn't think anybody would use YouTube or any other compressed source for serious audio checking. For subjective checking by ear, OK. But nothing more.

Not only for all the given reasons in the video, backed up by solid evidence... but, also because, in the case of music audio (especially) record companies purposely upload songs to YouTube with a lower quality and different mixing/editing than what is actually the finished product on a CD, etc. People should NEVER use YouTube as THE measure of how something should sound.

Btw, 6.0.8702.1 should be the next Realtek HD and UAD drivers to be released.

Agreed - which is why I repeatedly mention that my tests' results are nothing but that - subjective.

That's why I tend to use one of my own 'songs' for that reason, that I played, recorded and mixed myself @ 24x48000. That way I know what I am supposed to be hearing, when and at what level. Guitar, bass, cymbals, keyboards, sampled effects, etc. It gets busy at the last 3rd of the song and is a good spot for me to see if I am hearing everything that I should.

You folks are welcome to it if you like, though I doubt it would serve you as well, not being the one who mixed it. There is a download of the lossless 24x48000 Flac file in the "...more" link.

Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.8683 WHQL is available for download.
I recently found something unusual only with the 8683 FFxx HDA drivers (UAD drivers not affected).

It seems Realtek included the "APO Debug" reg entries in the HDXRT.inf file (AND all other INF files) of the 8683 WHQL HDA driver.

    [APODebug.AddReg]
    HKLM,%APO_DEBUG_REG%,SecureAudioEngineProcess,0x00010001,0x00000000
    HKLM,%APO_DEBUG_REG%,DisableProtectedAudioDG,0x00010001,0x00000001

normally these are only included in the beta or non-whql Realtek HDA drivers but it looks like Realtek forgot to remove them in 8683 WHQL (oopsie ). Realtek did however remove these "APO Debug" entries in 8688 & newer HDA drivers as I checked them myself.
