Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

Which driver is the best at this time 8648 or 8688 ???

Not here... but we should consider how subjective is this kind of analysis, it's not about graphic drivers measured with benchmarks, but we should consider the different setups, audio chips and implementations, besides the personal taste... I'm current using a GA-AX370-Gaming 5 with ALC 1220 codec, using an external analogical amp and no equalizer or any kind of "booster". So, IMHO:

8648: sharper, offers the best balanced sound and stage effect, seems to have, naturally, a flat equalization
8688: stronger, offers and interesting implementation of mid and low tones, but lacks a bit of high tones, not so good stage effect and brings some distortions at higher volume levels.
8691, 8694, 8695: lounder, poor at the details, here seems that I just turn on the "Loundness" button on my amp. The unofficial 8595 is the worst of them.

But it's just my case and preferences, don't have any bench to prove my point, just my impressions...

So you think 8648 is still best .....? ( untill now )
