    90FM Trivia WWSP 90FM

Yearly event that happens, this was the 50th anniversary. It's now broadcast over the Internet but the answers are called in still over POTS lines. 341 teams this year, second year I've been involved, and the team I played with got 3 overall again, for the 3rd year.

Next year the dates are 17-19 April, 2020. Around that time I will be categorically unavailable again

How much wood would a Woodchuck chuck if a Woodchuck could chuck wood?

Answer, just in case they ask you this:
A Woodchuck would chuck all the wood a Woodchuck could chuck if a Woodchuck could chuck wood.
yeah, no, it's a lot more in depth than that - 54 hours, 8 questions per hour, plus 3 rounds of 8 different 2 second music snippets (got all 24!), and 30 random pics we had to identify on our own to be read for questions based upon said pics, plus 'local' trivia (questions based upon items found in and around Stevens Point, WI), as well as a 'running' trivia which is really more like a scavenger hunt. It's ... intense. No, you're not required to participate at any real minimum at all, and of course no one is up for the entire 54+ hours (2 hours of final score announcements alone, including trophies for and speeches from the top ten teams). I'm a big music person, but I don't listen to a lot of older stuff, so we have other folks for that, and image verification begins the Monday prior to the actual start of the trivia contest which is always at 6 PM CDT on a Friday.

I had a blast, though I did have to miss out on almost 30 hours of it due to prior commitments.

This is an unofficial generic UAD.

Suddenly finding since version 8639 that I cannot update my Realtek HD Audio UAD drivers.
Every attempt to do so results in an incomplete installation (process does not resume after restart), and loss of audio output.
The entry in Device Manager becomes "Realtek (R) Audio", and even though the speakers are displayed in Windows Sound Manager, any attempt to test them or play any audio of any sort results in the message "This Device cannot be Accessed".
Tried several reinstalls with various earlier and later versions, with no success. My only option to regain audio is to roll back the drivers in device manager to the generic Windows ones.
I do not trust myself to select what drivers to remove in DriverStoreExplorer, so am attaching a screen snip.
    Please help.

My audio driver was working fine until I got stupid and tried to install the UAD driver and the Realtek Audio Console didn't work on my computer. I reverted back to the normal HAD driver but the problem is that sometimes there is a static noise and honestly it is very annoying. The most important problem is that when I play an audio or video, the sound starts only after 3 or 4 seconds. How do I recify this? Can you recommend a good audio driver? I have the HP Envy 13 model if that helps.

Hi and welcome to W10F Hari,
I suggest you start by clearing old drivers with DDU Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.1.1 and downloading original drivers from HP site.

Thanks for the DDU software. I removed the drivers. I have got a doubt. In the HP site for my laptop model, the latest driver was released on Jan 13, 2017, for Windows 10 v1607. Will this work properly though? https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers...ok-pc/12499190

Yes, that driver will work perfectly on any subsequent version to 1607. Install it without any hesitation!

Now the driver version became 6.0.8683.1 instead of 6.0.1.8683.

Apparently, the unofficial generic UAD is now stable version.

Literally, you don't like 8678, but this sound a bit different for me.

    8683 > 8678
