I wish they had any drivers for my Mint.
I have a Z370 MSI board using ALC892, my ID is HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0892&SUBSYS_1462EB47
Can I use UAD drivers or should I use HDA ones?
Also, what happens if I don't use realtek audio drivers and let microsoft deal with it? (because I just uninstalled realtek drivers and it fixed the issue that I stated in the previous page) Is the sound better if I use realtek?
You can use UAD. I also have a MSI Z370 and been using UAD for many months now, and it's rock solid and IMO a better experience than HDA, the UWP app looks nice (you'll get it MSI branded) and the PC should start a little bit faster.
As if the sound will be better, I seriously doubt it. But it looks to be a lighter driver format, it's way smaller to download, so why not. make sure you couple the driver with the Realtek Audio Control app from the first page.
6.0.1.8586 & 8589 are now available on the M.U.C..
That would be the old app, if you use UAD you won't have it, you will have to use the UWP app from the Store. Should be similar in functions, at least it is for my motherboard. Your board also has Nahimic, so you need proper drivers for that too.
"Must update Nahimic 3 in Microsoft store after updating Realtek HD Universal Driver.
Recommend installing this driver for Windows 10 RS3 or later versions."
Right.
But what is Nahimic 3? I just checked it but does it come with realtek driver or do we have to download it alone? it sounds great
Regarding the issue I had in the previous page (audio synchronisation issues), it didn't go away with updating to 8591 UAD whatever I do the issue is still there and it's very annoying...
Do anyone ever experienced this?
The version 8589 doesn't install on ALC892

I'll stay with v. 8578
I have a rock solid Dell Aurora R7 and I updated to 1809 and like many others have or had Realtek issues. I found this 177 page thread read most of it starting in the middle. My main beef was losing Realtek HD audio drivers (according to Device Manager) and the Enhancement tab in the sound proprieties. I have a 5.1 setup and lost room environment and speaker fill etc. No matter what driver I try I can't get that Enhancement tab back unless I install default High Definition drivers and uninstalling Realtek. I don't want to do that.
Anyway I see this app (link below which I did not install unless it was pre-loaded on this Dell I custom built on the site) is now my main console for sound settings. I installed the latest drivers .8366 from the MS catalog pointed them to the Realtek folder I created and tried new version from Dell that just came out a couple days ago and both prompt I have the latest/best driver installed. So Realtek Audio Control works great still I have my ‘Room’ environment set and speaker fill. 5.1
Guess with 1809 things have changed and i'll have to use this now with UAD drivers.. Device manager now list Realtek(R) Audio
Get Realtek Audio Control - Microsoft Store
