Problem with Sony home audio system

    Hello
I have a Sony Shake X70D sound system and I am not happy with the sound
The device does not have a clear sound, and the equalizers before it do not have much effect on the sound clarity. When I adjust it through the equalizer app of Sony Music Center and increase the clear bass option to soften the bass, the sound constantly decreases and increases when playing songs. This bothers me a lot and I can't listen to music like this
Please tell me the solution to fix this problem
I want to make the most of this device, but I can't
If there is a firmware update to fix this problem, please provide a link to it. I couldn't find anything on Sony's website
I also sent an email to Sony support, but they did not respond
    Thanks

I see you've also posted this on both ElevenForums and TenForums.

Problem with Sony home audio system | Windows 11 Forum

    Have you read the manual?

SONY SHAKE-X70D OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS MANUAL Pdf Download | ManualsLib

I looked around and there doesn't appear to be a firmware update for this device.

I'm not familiar with this exact device, but I do own similar devices.

Did you purchase this system new or used???

What type of devices are you sourcing music from, TV, cell phone, the units Bluetooth radio station (presets)?

Currently connected to Bluetooth or HDMI? Which device?

Have to tried connecting to different devices?

Have you tried both methods of connection, Bluetooth and HDMI?

If you're using an HDMI cable, what type is it?

If you're currently connected to TV HDMI, and you were previously connected to a Bluetooth device, such as a cell phone, make sure the Bluetooth is turned off. Not sure if that would matter, but it's worth a try. There may be cross interference.

    Yes, I bought new
    Yes, I read the manual
    With mobile phone bluetooth
    and Sony ldac codec
I also tested with other mobile phones
This device has no possibility to adjust bass and treble at all
HDMI is for connecting to the TV and I don't want to connect to it like that
The problem is that this device does not have a clear sound, and by adjusting it through Sony's own application, the sound becomes low and high.Just by installing the JetAudio app and adjusting the equalizer, the sound will be better
Because I doubted the health of the device, I tested the audio system of one of my friends, which was of the same Sony model, but it also did not have a clear sound

If your friend's sound system is exhibiting the same sound quality, with a cellphone Bluetooth pairing connection, then I would say the cellphone/ Bluetooth connection is the problem.

To test this theory, connect the device to a TV using a HDMI cable, to see if the sound quality improves. If it does, then it's a cell phone and Bluetooth issue, If the sound quality does not improve, then it's the sound system itself.

You could also connect the sound system to a desktop PC, see manual, but don't use an app to improve sound quality during the first part of your test.

Troubleshooting is simply a process of elimination.

There is no problem with the bluetooth of the mobile phone and the device
The sound quality is the same with Bluetooth, cable and USB
The sound quality of the audio system without the application settings is low
Only with the JetAudio program and applying the equalizer settings, the sound will be better
    Sorry for Sony
They do not have the previous quality

    Hello,

Well, if you've already tested every type of connection and device and all show the same sound quality, then the sound system itself is the problem.

As I expressed earlier, I don't have any experience with your particular brand/model, but I do own similar systems and the ones I own do have some pretty decent sound quality.

I recently saw several sound systems just like yours for sale on eBay, maybe there a reason for that.

All I can say at this point is if you're unhappy with the sound system you have then sell it and upgrade to a better one. Find a brick and mortar store which demonstrates their products. This why you'll know exactly what you're buying.

    Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to answer me
I talked to the seller and he said that the sound and playback of all these models is the same, and to have a better sound, you should use an app like JetAudio or Poweramp.
He claimed that these models are mostly for parties and the sound quality is the second priority and the focus is on the sound power.
But no one told me these points during the sale
This device does not have good settings for personalizing the sound and this is a big weakness
The Sony music center application is also very weak and has a bug that increases and decreases the volume
Other than that, I don't think there is any other hardware problem
I am not satisfied, but at the moment I don't have time to sell and replace with another model
    Thank you for your guidance.

Yes, in my opinion these type of sound devices are similar to what we, 'back in the day' called ... "Boom Boxes" or "Ghetto Blasters." They sacrifice sound quality for loudness. And I think anyone drinking at an outdoor party probably wouldn't notice the difference, especially after a few stiff drinks.

Otherwise, if you want quality sound, you'll have to spend thousands for a component surround sound system.

Most salesmen work for a fixed salary, plus a sales commission. The more they sale the richer they get. Not exactly a great source of information for an honest opinion. I always check product reviews, complaint sites and products forums before making a firm decision.

No idea why the sound app would keep changing the volume level, unless it has something to do with Network or Bluetooth signal strength.

    Happy to help.
