How (the heck) can I convert .DS2 files into .MP3 files, for free?

    Hello

How can I convert (Olympus) .DS2 files into .MP3 files?

    Background:
I have an Olympus DS-5000 voice recorder (that I use whilst driving). It stores audio files as .DS2 format. I need to convert them to MP3 format so that I can play them on my Android mobile phone. No I don't want to spend any money on this.

    Any thoughts?

    J

PS I tried Audacity (with FFmpeg) but it seems that it can't handle DS2.

Hang on, just checking which other NCH it installs with it first.

    EDIT,

OK. It leaves two links in the start menu,

If you go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and find and delete NHC Suite folder then they're removed. They are basically lists of installation links if you want any of their other free products so nothing is installed from the lists.
The Switch Sound File Converter is installed.

You can grab Wavepad from the Store: example of a sample .ds2 file I downloaded:

    - then Save As a wide variety of formats.
