Video with audio music speed requireents?

A friend and I who both sing and play acoustic guitar would like to use cameras and quality mics to jam together via PC video/audio. We both have good speakers and devices needed to hook up a quality mic but we don't want to invest in cameras unless we know we can do this without dropouts and other glitches. What i wanna know is what kind of up/down speeds would we each need to insure the best possible quality?

I don' think thats the same thing because with cameras and audio being made in real time there is latency before it even gets streamed so it's more critical than just streaming a video.

I imagine if you have a computer with an NVMe hard drive and at least USB 3.1 Gen 2 or USB 3.2 Gen 2(x1), it'd be fine in terms of bandwidth. At this point it'd come down to quality of hardware.

    Any camera ideas in mind?

Is this all on one computer or two separate computers?

    Are the Mics USB?

You might have better luck with a forum more dedicated to home studios and audio, etc...

What your primarily looking at here is whether you'll over saturate the motherboard's chipset. If two cameras are connected to the same motherboard it may. Depends on Hi Def this and that. Also depends on the motherboard you have there. Audio on the other hand shouldn't be an issue. That's really very low bandwidth actually.

If this isn't live streaming then independent cameras would of course have no bearing on motherboard resources. i.e cameras not plugged into the computer for recording but using SD cards.
