Beeping sounds playing on my system when computer slows down.

Hello! So I have an issue with Windows 10. When my computer is very very slow, I listen to these very annoying sine tone beeping sounds on my system. It is very annoying and I really hated it so much. I tried looking for it's audio file, but it probably did not exist. How do I fix this issue like deleting the audio file or Registry tweak? Thanks in advance!

    Windows version number: 22H2
    Windows version build: 19045.3693

I tried updated windows, but the beep is still there, cleaning up the disk, but freed up a little.

This sounds like a hardware issue. You may be hearing ""beep codes" that give clues to problems. Codes differ by manufacture so you'll need to look them up based on PC company or BIOS manufacturer.

Normally the codes run at start up (post codes) but repeated high frequency beeps while PC is running can point to an over heating of the CPU.

First you need to determine if overheating is the issue. Download, install, run and monitor your hardware with a utility such as Core Temp or HWMonitor. See this article:

Can you record the audio please?

Is it coming from the computer its self or from withen the computer, i.e. in Windows?

    Zip the audio clip...

    This is the HP EliteDesk?

Yes, file location for this please.

Also, I have OBS, and BDCAM, but I dont feel like recording because the beep is very very very very rare, and special, and it is possibly coming from the computer.

OK, so I did record the sound. Here is what it sounds like.

So that's not from your motherboard, it's from Windows or a program.

Run Autoruns and after everything loads go to File and save the ARN file and Zip that ARN file and upload here, oir use Mega as before.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sy...loads/autoruns

Do not monkey with anything in Autoruns unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing.

It's funny. The beep sounds like the beep sound you'd hear in the beginning of an old film. Except yours has a lower frequency.

What do you mean by "very slow"? What are you doing/running when the computer slows down?
