Loud click at the beginning of each sound

Say you play an audio file, on your computer, for example:
Search for, on your computer, and open: Change system sounds

Loud click at the beginning of each sound-image.png

Select Asterisks, and press the Test button.
Does it do the same thing right before the sound?

IF SO:
Open Device Manager, press the arrow to the left of: Sound, video ...etc
Double click each one, and go to the Power Management tab on top, if there is one.
Uncheck: Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power

Do you see those or not?

AND:
Does it make that click sound before you played the Asterisks sound, or not?

Thanks. I've done a few Windows updates since and it hasn't been happening. I did test that before the updates and the clicking didn't happen with system sounds, only web audio on all browsers.
