"Realtek audio" driver makes audio sound terrible. Looking for a fix.

When I first got my pc (dell OptiPlex 7040) it came with this audio driver. I disliked the sound of it, which made me search online for something. I found a “realtek-UAD-generic” driver (that I would link here, but I am unaware of the policies regarding links) which, after following the steps it provided, removed that driver and replaced it. It worked beautifully, and gave much cleaner audio. However, my headset's mic does not work with this (it simply does not detect any audio input device/driver) resulting in me reinstalling the proprietary drivers.

So, my request is this: Is there any way I can update/replace my current audio driver with one that sounds better, and doesn't stop the mic from working?

[Just in case: the headset's audio worked fine (shp-9500), but the mic (v-moda boom pro) is not detected when using the “realtek-uad-generic” driver from online]

You probably need DTS Audio Control which should come on that computer or you can get back from the HP website or turn of reverb effects or spatial effects idk you never really specified why it sounds bad to you because it shouldn't otherwise you kind of need to elaborate more, saying something along those line could mean any several things.

Uninstall the random online driver.

Install the driver supplied from Dell.

Windows updates may subsequently have a related update.

The device is a dell optiplex 7040. Does not use HP software. And yeah, I should've specified the sound. It sounds like it has some sort of forceful surround sound/reverb applied.

How do I go about updating this driver?

Those are elements of the Realtek drivers as supplied by Dell.
They are DLLs not drivers as such they are library functions. The EXE is some application.

The second bunch starting with MBA not sure of, but again they are library files.

Just go in to whatever sound control panel is supplied and disable pseudo surround or whatever. That would include Realtek or any associated overlay application, and Windows spatial sound if present.

yeah sorry typo i had HP stuck in my head for some reason, most likely because i was diagnosing one irl at the time.
