You just posted some general information that any high school physics class would know.

You got 1 fact right, for the transmission of electricity power, they use very high voltage lines to cover long distance. But we are not talking about transmitting power. We are not talking about driving a machine. We are talking about transmitting information.

Also you got the whole concept backward. Sony/Panasonic/JVC/Samsung can pick any voltage they want. Even if you are 100% correct, they would have picked a different voltage to cover a 6 foot cable because customers would have complained about the very short cable that doesn't work for their tv cabinet.

This was how people's tv in their living room looked like 30-40 years ago.

So even if you are 100% right, then the following would have happened.
    1) the sales department figured out that they need to give their customers a 6 foot cable or else their customers would complain
    2) the engineering department would figure out a 6 foot cable need xxx voltage to carry a clean audio signal

So your theory simply wouldn't even work in the real world.

This is as close as i can discussing about voltage and current. The manual of reliable brand audio/video equipments does
indicate how capable is the equipment's line level out. I also brought these audio/video equipment in the past, so i understand
what you mean. But if possible i will try to replace the stock cables with better and shorter one.

Let's end your theory for good.

Shure sells microphones, so they know signal levels. Mic signal is 0.001 volts (1 millivolt) to 0.01 volts (10 millivolts). Consumer electronics (AUX) level is 0.3 volt --- so mic level is 30-300 times weaker than your 3.5mm AUX level.

Tell Me About: Mic and Line Level - Shure Middle East and Africa

This company sells wires, so they know about wires. Mic signal (which is 30-300 times weaker than your 3.5mm AUX cable) can travel hundreds of feet (page 4).

    https://www.westpennwire.com/pdf/167...oductGuide.pdf

Here is a New York city recording studio engineer showing how audio signal flow in a recording studio. And you can see how long the mic cables (in the "live" room) has to travel to the control room with the giant audio console is --- that's 50 feet of mic cable from the piano recording room carrying a signal that is 30-300 times weaker than your 3.5mm AUX cable to the control room.

Instead of making your sound better, you are actually making your sound worse because your headphone amp has its own noise and distortions.

Headphone out used as line out.

@sportster's solution will still be better, I guarantee it. He will come back and tell us how much better his sound is because of his solution. That's how he will prove his solution is better.

AFAIK all connectors on a pc are unique - you can't plug the cpu fan into a USB header etc. This applies on the mobo and back panel. I imagine this has saved a lot of pcs from damage over the years.

However, the OP has managed to find the one part of the system that this form = function rule does not apply. On a sound card you can plug anything into anything via 3.5 mm plugs.

So what does the OP do ? He plugs headphone out into powered speakers, I guess he knows more than Microsoft, Soundblaster + all the experts on this forum.

    You can't help some people.

Mic Cables use XLR not RCA. Starting to sound like a pissing match that is all over the room.

I didn't say rca cable carrying mic signal. Our little computer soundcard has 3.5mm for mic input anyway.

I said mic signal (which is 30-300 times weaker than consumer aux signal) can travel hundreds of feet, which directly contradicts the OP's theory that his speaker out would crap out in a cable longer than 1 meter (3 feet). The company I linked is selling bulk wiring in hundreds of feet roll. The pdf document doesn't talk about the hardware connectors.

I already mentioned on one of my thread that our world is not realistic, it a dream world. What' not possible become possible.
There are lot of branded companys/supermarkets/foodstalls selling junk foods, it's the same for electronic/electrical items.
This junks can weaken peoples health/wealth. At least i know/tried then i share/discuss.

Precisely, you listened to the junk companies selling junk headphone amps where they can do everything better.

Why don't you google why headphone out ≠ line out. This youtube specifically from a hifi designer talking about how great Jason Stoddard and Michael Moffat from Schitt's headphone amp is (which is the number 1 overall listed in YOUR link).

Is line level or headphone output the best? - YouTube

Also you have no concept of bottlenecks and weakest links. You are playing mp3 (20+ year old codec the strips music of any sense of original signal) and you are playing it on your $100 creative t40 computer speakers. These are the weakest links. You buying a $3700 tube amp on your list isn't going to help it sound any better a single bit.

In my dream world, the world doesn't have idiots.
