    kernelbase.dll alert when using potplayer

    greetings
I'm not sure if it is the correct category, but after windows update (I think it is KB4576946) potplayer opens with the attached
    kernelbase.dll alert
    kernelbase.dll alert when using potplayer-alert.jpg

I tried to reinstall potplayer (since there was no update)
next I tried to uninstall the above windows update but after a restart it installed it again
    I'm in windows 10 pro
    winver 1809 b17763.1282
I know it is far from last but what can I do? windows does not offer new updates (and when it does it spoils things that worked well)
please help. I use potplayer a lot
    thank you

    Backup Potplayer settings:

    64bit:
    C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Roaming\PotPlayerMini64\PotPlayerMini64.ini

    or if 32bit
    C:\Users\Chris\AppData\Roaming\PotPlayerMini64\PotPlayerMini.ini

    Uninstall PotPlayer completely:

Geek Uninstaller - the best FREE uninstaller (Free)

    Reboot.

Install a fresh copy of PotPlayer

    Restore your settings file.

    thank you
I downloaded geek uninstaller but didn't have a chance to use it
since a windows update came, something about .NET framework and after that potplayer acted normally
but I didn't know the uninstaller and for that thank you again

No worries. Backup PotPlayer settings anyway as it's a pain to go through them all again if something screws up.

If you open that folder either backup the whole folder somewhere else or just the .ini file. Personally I make a backup copy of the folder and restore it if needed.

Really? Well there are a lot of settings that improve things in my opinion.

I'm using potplayer only for video (for audio I use foobar2000), so I'm curious about improvement settings
if you can shed some light, please
    thanks again

I'm busy at work but could post suggestions later. Or you could just upload your settings file and I could adjust it for you to download.
