    Audio doesn't work after unplugging external speakers


    I tried plugging in some external speakers into my laptop yesterday, because I wanted to test them out. They sounded shit so I unplugged them but noticed that audio doesn't come from my laptop's speakers anymore. I tried deleting and installing new drivers, restore points but nothing got it working.

    Welcome to the forum. Check in device manager that sounds are ok then find the setting for the sound card there should be an option to change back to internal speakers

    Im sorry Samuria, but mind explaining it again? I dont see an option for a sound card anywhere... The closest I can find is Realtek HD audio...

    EDIT: managed to fix it by raping my laptops headphone jack with my earbuds. Thank you to Samuria for the help!

hey, my usb keyboard doesn't work anymore after unplugging it. ive restored my pc, installed new windows, deleted ''old'' drivers and installed new. nothing. ive tried device troubleshooting from 'run'. ive tried every usb-slot too. HELP.
The system did an update on Sunday morning 07/02/03, since the update I have not been able to get the external speakers plugged into the line out to work, the speakers in the laptop work fine but as soon as I plug in the external...
This is just a small problem, but pretty annoying one. I recently updated to Win 10, and the first thing I noticed was that the sound settings were weird. Both speakers and headphone sounds work perfectly fine, but they don't automatically switch...
Alright, I've been trying to find anyone with a similar problem, tried some different things but none worked. I have a jack on the side of the laptop as usual, where I plug my headphones which do work perfectly. The laptop's internal speakers also...
I actually have two issues (the second being that the built-in microphone isn't working, but that's the least of my worries). I have my laptop connected to an external monitor & I can't get any non-system sounds to play. Dell Laptop w/ only HDMI...
