    No sound after some time not using any sound device


    So I have reinstalled my two PCs with windows 10 Pro. Both have the same issue. Sound works fine If I let the music play all time but all audio devices go silent whenever sound playback stops for 20-60 minutes. All icons and settings show that sound is on and working but there are no sound on any device (Nvidia HD audio, Realtek digital output, Logitech usb headset, razer usb sound card). The only way to fix sound is to restart PC or wait 10-30 minutes for it to come back on by itself. Old drivers cleaned, latest drivers installed, correct audio device selected. Powerplan High performance. 21H2 Build 19044.2130

    Anyone? Today I got all sound drivers automaticvcaly updated to Microsoft drivers and have no sound at all. On two PCs FFS. Any solution?

    Haven't seen the issue but would ask which program is being used to play the music. I still use Windows Media Player on Win10 and now also on Win11 [different computers]. I also have VLC/VideoLAN installed. What is the source of the music, .mp3 files on the computer, .mp3 on a USB drive, commercial Audio CD, from the Web? I use Windows Media Player to Rip my CDs to .mp3.

    There is no difference which device or what is the source of sound because PC just goes silent. Everything indicates that sound works properly but when I trie to play something I have no sound. I consider my self an advanced user (not power) and I can't get this problem fixed. I have an identical problem on two recently reinstalled systems. Prior to reinstalations there were no issues with sound. When sound goes off I can put a USB sound card and there is still no sound. There is one solution. Reinstall and block all updates. On both computers this happend after first update. Couldn't find any new issues anounced by MS yet my two computers have identical problem.

In Windows Sound Playback device settings, what is the difference between "Speakers (Soundblaster ZXR)" and "Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (Soundblaster ZXR DBPro"? I assume the first choice is for analog speakers and second is for digital speakers, right?...
